At Seams Beautiful, we value our personal privacy and we know our customers do too.
We wouldn’t want our personal information to be shared without our permission.
We expect companies and organisations that we deal with to treat our personal data with total respect and confidentiality.
For us, protecting your personal information is part of providing good customer service and deserving the trust our customers place in us.
At Seams Beautiful, we treat our customers’ personal data how we expect ours to be treated.
Our promise to you
- We will never sell your personal data.
- We will protect any personal data we hold.
- We are confident that third parties who may have access to your personal data (for example, website hosting companies, payment processing companies), have robust privacy policies which protect your data.
- We will always ask your permission if we need to share your information with a third party in order to fulfil a contract or service you have requested.
- We’re always happy to tell you what personal information we have about you.
- If you ask us to delete any of your personal data, we will – unless we are in an ongoing contractual arrangement with you.
Why we hold your personal data
We only collect personal data for legitimate business purposes.
We need your personal details if you’ve asked us to do work for you or you have contacted us via our website to request information.
We need to be able to get in touch with you to answer your queries, discuss your projects, arrange payment and / or deliver your sewing project.
We consider these to be legitimate contractual and consensual reasons for holding your personal data.
What personal data do we hold?
We usually deal with customers by phone or email and we sometimes post information or arrange delivery of purchases or visit you to provide a quote you have requested.
So, as well as your name, we may hold your email address, telephone number and postal address if you’ve asked us to deliver anything or visit you.
We will never sell your information to a third party.
We may need to pass your details to a third party, for example if you want us to arrange for something to be delivered or collected, we may use a third party. We’ll ask your permission before we do this.
Your details may also be shared with third parties who carry out services on our behalf, for example, processing payments, but we only use reputable companies who should never sell your data or use your data to contact you directly.
We may also be legally required to share your data if we are involved with any legal proceedings which include contracts with you.
Financial information – if you pay us by credit card or bank transfer, we will not keep your bank or card details once the transaction has been successfully processed.
Where we store your data
Seams Beautiful holds your personal data in files created by us and not accessible to anyone outside our business.
However, we do use some services and applications from third party suppliers which means some of your data may be stored outside the European Economic Area (EEA). The EEA consists of all EU member states, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.
Obviously, we only work with reputable companies who have robust data security policies and procedures and we take all reasonable steps to ensure you data is treated as safely and securely as it would be within the UK.
Staying in Touch
At Seams Beautiful, we work hard to build lasting relationships with our customers and we’re always keen to stay in touch.
We will always ask you if you’re happy for us to contact you to see how things are going and let you know of any new products or special offers that you may be interested in.
And, if you ever ask us to stop contacting you – we will!
